About Us
God's Word says that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. (Matthew 18:19-20) And although we may not be gathering in the flesh, we are gathering in the spirit, agreeing with one another and God's Word, speaking His promises over ourselves.
Thursday's Babies works this out through setting aside one day of the week (Thursday) to fast and pray, or, if you are unable to do a full fast from food, there are alternatives such as a partial fast, a fast from coffee or TV etc. Basically making a statement of faith that you are setting aside some of your conveniences to focus on God and praying over yours and others situations
If you feel unable to even do this, then please feel free to join us in prayer, but we do believe in the power of the fast. Jesus said "when you fast" not "if you fast"! But ultimately, it is the power of prayer and unity in prayer that we hope you will join us in.
There is no special significance in Thursday, other than it is the day that I feel the Holy Spirit laid on my heart to do this. It is a practice that I have undertaken over the past year, in regards to our own journey.
We also have many men and women who join us in a prayer support capacity. They feel touched by this issue, even if it does not affect them directly.
Thursday's Babies believes also in the power and strength of Jesus Christ as the great healer and comforter. The emotional roller coaster that fertility issues takes you on is extreme to say the least. The months that pass unfruitfully, hopes dashed and our plans unmet. The counting of days and cycles and temperatures and pills and vitamins and injections and things not to eat and things to eat!
There are the demands and strains trying to conceive sometimes places on relationships. The "unspontaniety" of the situation. The stretching of our own faith, the tears shed, the disappointments.
Jesus knows. He sees it all. He cares deeply about you and all that you are going through. And He is there to walk every step of the way with you through this.
There are many scriptures in the bible that pertain to healing (emotional and physical) and fertility. We encourage you to read them, meditate on them, and speak them over your life. We are joint heirs of God with Christ, therefore His Word is ours, His blessings are ours, His promises are ours! And all the promises of God in Jesus are Yes and Amen (2 Cor 1:20)
